Hey. Are you stressed out? Does life seem overwhelming right now? Do you feel like you want to learn more about who you are, but life is fighting you?
I’m so sorry that this is happening. But I’m glad we have each other. I know that going through this alone only makes it worse.
So this is what I propose. Let’s spend a few moments together now. Let’s just step out of the world, to see if a little vacation from life can give us a great perspective. I’ll walk with you.
Jesus Calling
I love to read this little book every morning. It’s called “Jesus Calling”. It’s by a lady named Sarah Young. What she did when she wrote it is neat. She wrote it as if it was Jesus writing. She never intended it to look like it was another chapter in the Bible, but simply wrote it to inspire us in line with scripture.
She takes truth from the Bible and then puts it into a first person sort of letter from Jesus to you. I love it. Each statement that she writes is backed by scripture. If this worries you, let me tell you that I have been trained in biblical interpretation and translation and what she does is dead on. I trust it.
Yesterday as I was preparing for this post, I felt God lead me on the topic. But I didn’t get a clear picture of what it would say in total. Then this morning, I read “Jesus Calling” and it became clear.
Why are we tired and stressed?
On the March 11 excerpt from “Jesus Calling“, Sarah writes to us from the perspective of Jesus. So imagine with me, that this is Jesus calling you.
“I empowered you to live beyond your natural ability and strength. That’s why it is so wrong to measure your energy level against the challenges ahead of you. The issue is not your strength, but Mine, which is limitless. By walking close to Me, you can accomplish My purposes in My strength.”
Galatians 5:25 “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit”
Let me ask you again, are you stressed? Are you tired?
The school of identity exists to help you know your identity in Christ, but in practical terms. This is the vision that God has given me for the school and for my expression. But I must be clear.
Even practical understanding of yourself needs a spiritual foundation.
If you are tired in the physical, there is something happening in the spiritual. For what is true in the spirit, is true in the flesh.
I know that life is tiring. But we must continue to go back to God every day. So consider today’s post not a “top 5 things to do” article. No. Today, I simply want to encourage you to spend time with Jesus again and again and again. Go back to Him today and be encouraged by Him.
It is out of our intimate relationship with Jesus that we find enough strength to go on. Live in intimacy with Jesus, and nothing will stop you.
To the point and on point!
Thanks Randy. I always appreciate your encouragement.
