Have you had victory in anything in life?  What about having consistent victory?  Like if you are on a team of some sort.  You can win a game, have a great celebration, and then have to play again.  You know what I mean?  Victory sets you up for another battle.

That’s the way victory in identity works too.  God wants to give you victory.  He wants you to know who you are.  He will help you and He will make it awesome.  But here is the deal, He will always help you grow more and more.  Sometimes growth can feel like a battle.

Let me tell you my current story.  But here is the caution, I’m going to be honest.  It’s going to be hard for me.  I ask you for grace.

My Current Story

The School of Identity exists to help you know your identity in Christ… in practical terms.  Why?  In part because this is my journey.

There were many years when I didn’t understand who I was in Jesus.  I knew the spiritual stuff, but it didn’t really settle well in my regular day to day life.  Like, I knew I was a child of God, but that honestly didn’t help me not feel like a failure.  It just made me feel loved when I failed.  That’s great, but I wanted more.

Through my journey, God helped me see who I was practically too.  It was the hardest journey I have ever been on, since He had to remove all of the things I thought I was to get to me.  I had covered myself up with all of these image things.  My Instagram would have looked great, but my heart was hurt.

God gave me victory.  It was a hard battle.

Just over a year ago, God gave me the vision for the School of Identity.  I was terrified and honored.  I knew that God would want to do something with it and I was confident that God wanted me.

Well, just as any step of faith, it comes with challenges.  Here is a lesson I have learned in life and in ministry.  When you step into obedience and relationship with Jesus, the enemy hates it.  So guess what, the Devil hates the School of Identity.

Here is the other reality, he is wanting me and you to be discouraged.  Well, I have been, but guess what, that’s an old and weak trick he has.  I chose Jesus.  I chose victory.

This is what I want for you.  This is what Jesus wants for you.  This is why we exist at the school.  We want to help you fight the battle for victory in your identity.  It will be hard, but big deal. Seriously, Jesus died for us, we can fight a little battle. 🙂

So commit to Jesus that you will walk, run, fight, push and get to victory in and through Him.  He will help.

Today, I challenge you to pray.

Jesus, I commit myself to you again.  I will give myself to you again today, and I know you will be with me.  Give me victory in my identity at all cost so that I can see myself the way you see me.  Jesus, I give myself to your Kingdom.  AMEN
