Have you ever had a day where you feel like you just can’t be yourself? What about those times when you feel somewhat confident in who God wants you to be, but those around you don’t really support it. I have felt that way and I want you to know, I do a trick that helps.
Today, I want to share that trick with you. It’s a brain/life hack. It can help.
Tell me the truth. You have had days where you feel like you can get up and be yourself. But as the day comes at you, your confidence goes down. There may even be those around you that love you and care for you. Greater, they may even really want you to be who God created you to be.
But they don’t help. They want to, but they don’t. They just keep going in life and life doesn’t seem to want you to be full of victory in your identity.
What I have found is that the way you set up your day can be incredibly helpful. The way you start your day can set you up for greater victory.
Every morning I start with a Latte and Jesus. That’s a great start. But, it’s not enough to keep me consistently on track. I need a practical step to help me stay focused.
So I start out asking a question of myself that is really awesome. It’s also really challenging. In fact, as I asked myself the question today, it lead me to thinking that this is the practical help I want to offer you, for you victory today and ongoing.
I did not make up this question, but I heard it once. I claim no original ownership to the question itself, but it has given me great victory.
The Question.
Here is the question you should ask yourself every morning.
If I had courage today, what would I do?
Wow. This will make you step into who you are supposed to be. As you chat with Jesus about your identity, He will probably give you next steps about living who you are with others. If you have courage, you can make it happen even more.
So let me ask you this… If you had courage today, what would you do?
